Iris I. Jackson, age 84, of Somerville died April 27, 2012 at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 22, 1927 in Morgan County to Cicero Fount Johnson and Lois Ella Johnson. Mrs. Jackson was a retired nurse from Decatur General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Jackson and two brothers.
Funeral Service will be 11:00am Monday April 30, 2012, at Cotaco Methodist Church. Rev. Vandon Windsor will officiate. Peck Funeral Home will be directing. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 until 11:00am. Burial will follow in Antioch Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Peck Funeral Home.
Survivors include: three daughters Diane Bagwell (Joe), Peggy Kent (Jimmy) and Nealia Dunaway (Ted); three Sisters Jean Windsor (Vandon), Geraldine Garner (Jack) and Linda Harris; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Dunaway, Ross Johnson, Kevin Klemme, John Bagwell, Jimmy Kent and Ted Dunaway.
